Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Tuesday December 16, 2003
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common cause of numbness and pain in the hands and fingers. Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve is pinched in the wrist as it passes through the carpal canal.
The exact amount that workplace ergonomics may or may not contribute to carpal tunnel syndrome is not clearly understood. However, proper workplace ergonomics is important for avoiding many types of repetitive use injuries.
