Research Questions Advantages of New Hip Replacements

Sunday February 25, 2007
Two-incision hip replacement surgery has been billed by proponents as a significant improvement over standard hip replacement surgery. Supporters of this procedure argue the new procedure offers theoretical advantages including a faster recovery and fewer potential complications. However, these arguments are not holding up to scientific analysis. Two new studies have questioned theoretical advantages of this procedure.
