Does removing a heel spur cure plantar fasciitis?

Treatment of heel spurs can be a difficult problem. Non-surgical treatments are always attempted. These treatments include shoe inserts, splints, and medications. If these treatments do not relieve the pain, should the heel spur be removed? In most cases, the answer is no. Removing a heel spur is usually not done for treatment of heel pain.
