Replacement of Finger Joints

Most people know about hip replacements and knee replacements, but did you know that most every joint in the body can be replaced?  Some are performed uncommonly, and some probably shouldn't be done, but finger joint replacement is a good surgery that provides relief from finger arthritis for many people.

Finger arthritis is exceedingly common, but since we don't walk with our hands, most people can manage with simple treatments including medications, heat application, and activity modifications.  However, when the pain of finger arthritis becomes severe, there are surgical options you can explore.
