Different treatments have been investigated for the treatment of tennis elbow, one of the most commonly recommended is a cortisone injection.

A new study finds that cortisone injections may actually lead to a worse result for patients who suffer from tennis elbow.  Cortisone injections are really designed to treat inflammation, and tennis elbow does not cause inflammation.  Therefore, cortisone shots are probably not the best treatment, and in fact, may be one of the worst things for tennis elbow pain!
