Question: How Do I Find A Good Orthopedic Surgeon?
Answer: My best suggestion is to ask around in your area. Start with your family physician or general internist, and see what he or she recommends. Academic hospital centers have physicians in most all orthopedic specialties; the drawback can be long waits for appointments, and some are not covered under certain medical insurance plans.
It is extremely unlikely that you would need to travel great distances to find an orthopedic surgeon well trained in taking care of patients with your condition.
