  • A Synvisc injection is easily performed in the doctor's office
  • Synvisc has few side-effects include swelling and pain in the knee
  • Minimally invasive compared to possible joint replacement surgery

Cons

  • No one knows about Synvisc treatment after 15 or 20 years
  • Advanced arthritis tends not to have as good a treatment response
  • Not all insurers cover Synvisc treatments-check with your provider
