Ewing's Sarcoma

Definition: Ewing's Sarcoma is an aggressive bone tumor found most commonly in children and adolescents. Patients with Ewing's sarcoma will usually seek medical attention after complaining of pain in the affected bone. Ewing's sarcoma can be a difficult diagnosis, and the early symptoms may be attributed to 'growing pains.' Other common symptoms include a mass, fever, and lethargy.

Treatment of Ewing's sarcoma most often consists of chemotherapy and or radiation, and surgery.
