Hammer Toe and Claw Toe and Mallet Toe
Many toe disorders, such as a hammer toe or claw toe, can cause painful calluses and corns. A hammer toe, mallet toe, and claw toe, are all common, yet different, deformities that are often caused by footwear problems.
Hammer Toe
A hammer toe occurs when the middle of the toe points upwards abnormally. A hammer toe most often occurs in the second toe, and is often the result of a big toe bunion pushing on the second toe.
