What is An Overuse Injury?
Overuse syndromes are common orthopedic problems characterized by chronic irritation to a body part. Many forms of repetitive strain injury fall under the category of overuse syndromes.
Exertional Compartment Syndrome
Exercise induced compartment syndrome is a condition that causes pain over the front of the leg with activity. Patients with exercise induced compartment syndrome may require surgery, call a fasciotomy, to relieve their symptoms.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is the condition that results from dysfunction of one of the nerves in the wrist. In CTS this nerve is compressed as it passes through the wrist.
Wrist Tendonitis
Information about wrist tendonitis, a common problem that can cause pain and swelling around the wrist. Wrist tendonitis is due to inflammation of the tendon sheath. Treatment of wrist tendonitis usually does not require surgery.
Tennis Elbow
