What Made You Decide to Have Knee Replacement?
Severe arthritis limited activities especially long walks.
What Were You Not Prepared For?
Five weeks into a fabulous recovery, I noticed a very annoying clicking sound. I haven't discussed this with my surgeon (appt next week) but from my research it doesn't sound like this is going to go away!!
Lessons Learned
- Be sure the pain in your knee is unbearable on a day to day basis before TKR - the new knee has it's own problems. I wish now I had waited until the pain was so bad that I would welcome 'clicking' over pain.
