What Made You Decide to Have Knee Replacement?

Constant pain and the quality of my life.

I could not walk, work, dance, exercise, shop and many everyday life activities.

What Were You Not Prepared For?

How much work I had to do to reach maximum improvement.

I did not know what to expect. Anything had to be better.

I was very proactive. I bought a book titled " Total Knee Replacement & Rehabilitation". This book covers what to do before, during & after. IE: how to re-arrange kitchen cabinets, bathroom hints, etc. I shared this book with my PT person. As a team we were able to get the most out of everything.

Lessons Learned

  • My doctor explained much to me. He stressed the good, the bad and the ugly. So, I was very much ready for my new knee. Three things I suggest, ask questions, ask questions and then ask questions.
